There are more than 150 million street children in the world. Most have been driven from their homes by poverty, abuse, or neglect. The streets become their home and fellow street children become their family. They are the poorest of the poor--begging, stealing, scrounging through garbage to find food. They are dirty, hungry, and sick. They have been robbed of their childhood. They are unwanted outcasts most people simply ignore.

But together we can make a difference! You can be part of transforming these children's lives from hopelessness and desperation to hope, opportunity, and promise.

Since 1993, Agape Children's Ministry has been working to rescue, redeem, rehabilitate, and reintegrate street children in Kenya, Africa. Agape:

·         Rescues children by removing them from the life-threatening dangers of life on the streets
·         Provides a safe place for them to live; giving them food, clothing, and medical care
·         Reaches out to hundreds of children who remain on the streets, providing love and encouragement, food, clothing, and medical care
·         Shares the love of Jesus and the life-changing message of the Gospel
·         Operates a Primary School (grades 1-8) to educate and equip children to live productive, meaningful lives. Qualifying children are provided with High School and advanced education. Some are given vocational training, enabling them to provide for themselves and become independent.
·         Reconnects and reintegrates them with their family or extended family, whenever possible.

But, we need your help!

·         Pray regularly and consistently for their sponsored child. Agape can help with the child's physical needs and can provide counseling and support, but only the Lord can heal the child's broken heart and spirit.
·         Contribute a minimum of $30 per month to Agape to help pay for the ongoing cost of caring for the child.

The costs to care for each child vary significantly, depending upon each child's needs. Therefore, our Sponsorship Program assigns multiple sponsors to those children whose care costs more than the basic $30 sponsorship amount. If you would like to contribute more than one sponsorship unit on a monthly basis, you are welcome to do so.

Agape’s Sponsorship Program covers children in a variety of categories:

·         Children living at Agape’s residential facility
·         Boys at our vocational training center
·         Children who have completed our Primary School and are attending High School or other academic training
·         At-risk children from the community attending our Primary School
·         Children who have been reintegrated with their families

When You Sign Up to be a Sponsor
Agape will assign a child to you and send an Introductory Kit that includes a profile and background on your child. We will provide updates on your child twice a year. We will also send twice yearly newsletters, specific to the sponsorship program, to keep you up-to-date.

Making Sponsorship Payments
The preferred and most convenient way to pay for sponsorship is automatic monthly withdrawal from your checking or savings account. We also accept debit and credit card payments; or you can give monthly, quarterly, or annually by check, cash, or money order.
